Ms Deborah Batten
Member Representative


Ms Batten is a General Manager of the National Australia Bank, in charge of the office of the Executive General Manager of the bank. Ms Batten was appointed to the Board in June 2002.

Mr Roger du Blet AM
Small Business Representative


Mr du Blet was appointed to the Board as the Small Business Representative in 2003. He is a Director of the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and chairs the Building Products Innovation Council, the Small Business Forum and the Small Business Coalition.

Mr Jeremy Griffith
Member Representative


Mr Griffith is the General Manager Corporate Relations of St George Bank Limited. Mr Griffith was appointed to the Board in May 2003.

Ms Fiona Guthrie
Consumer Representative


Ms Guthrie is a self employed management consultant. She was appointed to the Board
in May 2007.

Ms Jan Pentland
Consumer Representative


Ms Pentland is a financial counsellor with Eastern Access Community Health and represents Victoria on the national council for financial counsellors. She was appointed to the Board in February 2006.

Ms Susie Upton
Member Representative


Ms Upton is the Head of Analytics & Unsecured Risk, Risk, Business & Consumer Banking
of Westpac Banking Corporation. She was appointed to the Board in November 2006.

Professor the Hon Michael Lavarch
Chairman


Professor Lavarch is currently Dean of the Faculty of Law at Queensland University of Technology and was a former Commonwealth Attorney-General and secretary-general of the Law Council of Australia from 2001 – 2004.
His current service on boards and committees includes membership of the advisory board, Key Centre for Ethics, Law, Justice and Governance, Griffith University, Chief Adjudicator of the Alcohol Beverages Advertising Complaints Panel and Director, National Electricity Market Management Company.
